When we're at the beach several of our "street friends" have social hour so I'm always looking for new appetizers. My dear friend, Trine, gave me this recipe and I make them occasionally for my beach buddies.
1Preheat oven to 450. Cook bacon but not too crisp. Wrap each water chestnut with a half slice of bacon & secure with a toothpick. Place in a baking dish & bake on 450 for approximately 10 minutes or so.
2Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chestnuts & serve.
3IMPORTANT: Do not use colored toothpicks...they will color the bacon.
