How To Make southern deviled eggs
-
Step 1Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the egg yolks from the hard-boiled eggs and transfer them to a bowl. Mash them well with a fork. For an extra creamy texture, push the egg yolks through a potato ricer using the disk with the smallest holes.
-
Step 2Stir in the mayo, mustard, pickle relish, and hot sauce. Blend well and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
-
Step 3Spoon in or pipe the yolk mixture into the eggs. Garnish with a few pinches of smoked paprika.
