-
8 ozshredded cheese
-
4 Tbspbutter
-
4-6 clovegarlic
-
1/2 tspsalt
How To Make sourdough pull apart bread
-
1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
-
2Taking a serrated knife, cut across the top of the dough 1 inch apart all the way across.
-
3Cut all the way to the bottom with cutting through the crust.
-
4Turn the dough and cut across the first cuts to make diagonal cuts.
-
5Heat the butter in a small saucepan and add the garlic and salt.
-
6Note: If using salted butter, omit the salt.
-
7Pour the melted butter mixture into the crevices of the loaf. You can use a pastry brush to make sure the mixture makes it throughout the loaf.
-
8Stuff the shredded cheese into the bread as evenly as possible.
-
9You can either place on a piece of parchment paper in a Dutch oven, or you can bake with the loaf wrapped in aluminum foil.
-
10If baking in a Dutch oven, bake with the lid on for 10-15 minutes and with the lid off for 10 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
-
11If baking in aluminum foil, bake for 20-25 minutes.
-
12Serve as an appetizer or a side dish to soup or pasta.
