Ingredients
- 6 large hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons tamarind paste
- 3 - shallots, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili crisp
- - fresh cilantro
- - lettuce leaves
- - oil for deep frying
How To Make son-in-law eggs

Step 1Combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, and tamarind paste in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to low, and cook 5 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2Add a little oil to another pan and brown the shallots and garlic, and set aside.

Step 3Deep fry the eggs at 350 degrees; 3-5 minutes until browned.

Step 4Cut in half. Lay lettuce leaves out on a serving platter. Top with the eggs, then sprinkle the shallot and ginger over the top. Then add the chili crisp over all, then drizzle the tamarind mixture. Top with cilantro.
