simple small batch guacamole
I love guacamole but I hate having left-overs. No matter what trick you use to keep it fresh, it is never as good as when it was freshly made. This is my attempt to make a small enough batch to be eaten right away.

Ingredients
- 1 avocado, ripe
- 1/2 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 - 1 tablespoons cilantro, minced
- 1 tablespoon jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon onion, finely minced (optional)
- garlic powder or salt, to taste (optional)
How To Make simple small batch guacamole

Step 1Cut in half, discard seed and scoop avocado into small bowl. Mash with fork to desired consistance.

Step 2Add lime juice, cilantro, jalapeño and salt and stir together. Serve with tortilla chips.

Step 3Optionally - either add onion to the guac or replace the jalapeño with the onion. Add garlic to taste, if desired.
