seven layer salad (really, nine!)
Recipe submitted by Barbara Hetfleisch. Barbara brought this dish to a pot luck of ours. I was surprised to see this in the 11x14 dish rather than a deep pedestal dish. Her reasoning was that this way you can more easily get all seven (or 9) layers much more easily - good point!!

How To Make seven layer salad (really, nine!)
-
Step 1Layer first 5 ingredients in an 11x14 glass baking dish- works best rather than a deep clear bowl.
-
Step 2Spread the entire amount of the salad dressing mixture over the peas.
-
Step 3Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over all, then a layer of the crumbled cooked bacon, then the sliced or crumbled hard boiled eggs.
-
Step 4This must be made one day prior to serving. Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight.
