Barbara brought this dish to a pot luck of ours. I was surprised to see this in the 11x14 dish rather than a deep pedestal dish. Her reasoning was that this way you can more easily get all seven (or 9) layers much more easily - good point!!

How to Make Seven Layer Salad (really, nine!)
- Layer first 5 ingredients in an 11x14 glass baking dish- works best rather than a deep clear bowl.
- Spread the entire amount of the salad dressing mixture over the peas.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over all, then a layer of the crumbled cooked bacon, then the sliced or crumbled hard boiled eggs.
- This must be made one day prior to serving. Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight.
