    hard boiled eggs, shelled
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 lb
    ground sausage
  • ·
  • 3/4 c
    fine dry bread crumbs
  • ·
    stone ground mustard, for dipping

How to Make Scotch Eggs


  1. Dip hard boiled eggs into beaten egg. Shape a generous coating of sausage around each egg. Dip into beaten egg again; roll in the bread crumbs. Deep fry at 375* 5-6 mins.or fry in skillet turning frequently.
  2. Slice into 4 quarters. Serve with stone ground brown mustard.
