Ingredients

hard boiled eggs, shelled
1
egg, beaten
1 lb
ground sausage
oil
3/4 c
fine dry bread crumbs
stone ground mustard, for dipping

How to Make Scotch Eggs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Dip hard boiled eggs into beaten egg. Shape a generous coating of sausage around each egg. Dip into beaten egg again; roll in the bread crumbs. Deep fry at 375* 5-6 mins.or fry in skillet turning frequently.
  • 2Slice into 4 quarters. Serve with stone ground brown mustard.
