Had these in a restaurant and had to have the recipe. Here it is.

Ingredients

  • 4 - hard boiled eggs, shelled
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • - oil
  • 3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • - stone ground mustard, for dipping

How To Make scotch eggs

  • Step 1
    Dip hard boiled eggs into beaten egg. Shape a generous coating of sausage around each egg. Dip into beaten egg again; roll in the bread crumbs. Deep fry at 375* 5-6 mins.or fry in skillet turning frequently.
  • Step 2
    Slice into 4 quarters. Serve with stone ground brown mustard.
