Great alternative to nuts - this is a great high protein low cal snack

Ingredients

  • 1 can chick peas, drained and rinsed
  • - olive oil
  • - salt
  • - seasonings

How To Make roasted chickpeas

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit. Drain and rinse chickpeas in colander and let sit for 5 minutes
  • Step 2
    Pour the chickpeas onto a foil lined, rimmed baking sheet. Blot chickpeas dry with paper towels. Make sure the chickpeas are dried well. Spray chickpeas with a thin coating of olive oil spray. Use your hands to roll chickpeas in oil to make sure all surfaces are covered.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle seasonings onto chickpeas. Now this is where you can get creative..use any spice you like. Salt, chili powder, 5 spice, smoked papricka, garlic powder, onion powder, curry - the possiblities are endless!!
  • Step 4
    Bake for 30-40 minutes until browned and crunchy. Be careful, as the chickpeas can sometimes pop like popcorn.
