Ingredients
- 6 hardboiled eggs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (lite is ok)
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- 1/8 teaspoon each pepper & sea salt, or to taste
- 1 dash hot sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
How To Make picnic deviled eggs
-
Step 1Peel the eggs and cut them in half, lengthwise. Remove the yolks from the egg halves and place them into a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until they’re broken up.
-
Step 2Add the mayonnaise, mustard, pickle juice, salt, pepper, and a few drops of hot sauce, if desired. Stir to combine until almost smooth.
-
Step 3Fill egg whites with yolk mixture. You can spoon the mixture into a zip-top plastic bag and snip ¼-inch off of one of the bottom corners. Pipe the mixture into the egg white halves.
-
Step 4Sprinkle the eggs with paprika and chives. Serve immediately or chill the eggs until ready to eat. Serve with extra hot sauce, if desired.
