Ingredients

  • 5 ounces old english cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 ounces hot pepper jelly

How To Make pepper jelly turnovers

  • Step 1
    Cut cheese and butter into flour.
  • Step 2
    Quickly stir in water and shape into a ball. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 3
    Roll out dough very thin and cut with a biscuit cutter into 2-inch circles.
  • Step 4
    Place 1/2 teaspoon of pepper jelly in center of each circle. Fold over and crimp edges with a fork.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Turnovers may be frozen before or after baking. Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
