mushroom dip
I love mushrooms, and this is one of the only ways I can convince my mushroom-disliking family to eat them. Serve with an assortment of crackers.

Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purposed flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed and softened
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
How To Make mushroom dip
-
Step 1Cook the bacon in a large skillet until crisp; remove bacon, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings in the skillet. Crumble the bacon and set aside.
-
Step 2Sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in the drippings for 6 to 8 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and the mixture is almost dry.
-
Step 3Add the flour, salt, and pepper, stirring well. Add the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce; reduce heat, and cook, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts.
-
Step 4Remove from heat. Stir in the sour cream and reserved bacon.
-
Step 5Serve warm with an assortment of crackers.
