I love shrimp cocktail, but when I had this in a Mexican restaurant one day I went over the moon for it, thus started my quest for how to make it. Finally I came up with this recipe. I like making my own salsa but using store bought works just as well, and its somewhat faster.

Ingredients

cooked shrimp
16 oz
salsa, mild
1/2 c
chopped cucumber
1/2 c
chopped celery
1/2 c
ketchup
1/4 c
cilantro, fresh chopped
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1/4 tsp
garlic minced
1 large
avacado
1 can(s)
tomatoe juice
2 dash(es)
hot sauce

How to Make Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

Step-by-Step

  • 1Make sure shrimp is peeled and deveined. place in frig, till ready to use.
  • 2In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients, saving shrimp and avocado for last. Mix together.
  • 3stir in shrimp whole or chopped saving some for garnish.
  • 4add in avocado.
  • 5Cover and chill.
