I made this favorite dish of my late wife,Peggy,I hope I did her justice,it was the hit of the party.The recipe is from an old cookbook from a church in Beaumont,Texas.Hope you all enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4cups - corn bread mix
- 1bunch - green onions chopped
- 1 - medium yellow onion chopped
- 1 - small bell pepper chopped
- 3 - jalepenos chopped
- 2 - eggs
- 8 oz. - sour cream
- 1 - small can creamed corn
- 1/2 lb. - lean hamburger browned
- 6 slces - american cheese
- pinch - salt
- pinch - ground black pepper
How To Make mexican cornbread

Step 1Mix together all ingredients except meat and cheese.

Step 2Pour 1/2 mixture in large skillet pan.

Step 3Add layer of all meat and cover completly with cheese.

Step 4Top with remaining mixture and bake at 425 degrees for 35-40 minutes,to a light golden yellow,stick a fork in the middle,if it comes out clean,you're ready.
