layered taco dip

I make this for practically every party I'm invited to. It's the best version of a layered taco dip I've tasted. I've been making this for several years and finally have gotten the recipe exactly where I want it.

Ingredients

  • 1 package pork sausage roll
  • 1 can black beans, drained well
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with chilies or jalapenos, drained well
  • 3-4 medium avocados
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • - lettuce (bagged shredded works great!)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can black olives, sliced
  • - juice from 4 limes
  • - tortilla chips

How To Make layered taco dip

  • Step 1
Cook the sausage thoroughly; break up into small pieces while it’s cooking. Sausage should be in small crumbles when finished cooking.
  • Step 2
In a bowl mix the Taco Seasoning packet with the Sour Cream; blend well. In another bowl, mash the avocados and mix with the Lime Juice. Drain the can of black beans and tomatoes, separately. I use two strainers and let sit over the sink while the sausage is cooking.
  • Step 3
Place ingredients in this order: Cooked sausage Black beans Avocado mixture Sour Cream mixture Lettuce Tomato Cheese Olives
