I love guacamole, but I do not like cilantro. So I just took a basic guacamole recipe, removed the cilantro and spices, and fell in love with my version of guacamole. You can add spices and even cilantro if you want. I like this because it can be eaten like regular guacamole or spread on sandwiches - especially good on a chicken sandwich, top baked potatoes with it, or just eat it with a spoon!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 avocados, ripe
  • 1 medium tomato, ripe
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped yellow onion, more to taste
  • 1 can diced green chiles - heat level you enjoy (4 oz)
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make guacamole by maggie

  • Step 1
    Mash the avocado in a medium bowl.
  • Step 2
    Stir in chopped tomato, onion, and green chilies until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 3
    Place in an airtight container. Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on top of the mixture and press down lightly to seal it.
  • Step 4
    Cover with a lid and place in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
