My Grandmother was the wife of a chicken farmer. She was famous for her fried chicken....and her onion rings. I wish she had passed on more recipes. She was a wonderful cook!

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 12 ounces beer
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 - egg whites
How To Make grandmother's beer batter for all things fried!

Step 1Combine Beer, flour, and salt. Batter will be stiff

Step 2Beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Add a little egg white to the flour mix to thin - then gently fold in the rest of the beaten egg whites.

Step 3Can be used for shrimp, fish and veggies (dredge in flour first then dip in batter) and Fry. Batter can be kept in fridge for 2-3 days
