Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 large vidalia onions finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh chopped chives or italian parsley
How To Make french onion dip

Step 1Melt butter and heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add the onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring every 3-4 minutes until the onions are a rich brown color; approximately 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool.

Step 2Mix together the sour cream and mayonnaise. Fold in the cooled onions. Top with chopped chives or chopped parsley.
