Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf french bread, split lengthwise
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 2 - tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 - onions, sliced
  • 8 slices american cheese
  • 1 can tomato sauce

How To Make french bread mexi-melt

  • Step 1
    Brown beef, add tomato sauce and taco seasoning.
  • Step 2
    Simmer 5 to 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Spread mixture on bread.
  • Step 4
    Top with layer of sliced tomatos and cheese.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 375 for 8-12 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Step 6
    Cut into pieces to serve.
  • Step 7
    This can be broiled if you like it crispier.
