I wanted something different this Easter so I'm making these eggs for our celebration.

  • 6 large
    hard boiled eggs
  • 1 medium
  • 1 tsp
    minced onion
  • 3 tsp
    fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced jalapeno
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp
    diced tomato, i use roma tomatoes
  • pinch
    chili powder
  • to taste
    kosher salt
  • to taste
    fresh ground black pepper

How to Make Deviled Eggs San Antonio Style


  1. Peel, pit and mash the avocado.
  2. Slice each egg in half horizontally. Set aside the yolks.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine avocado, egg yolks, red onion, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice and diced tomatoes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the mixture evenly into the egg halves.
  6. Sprinkle with the chili powder.
