my most requested item when I'm invited to a pitch-in. I always have to make 2 batches.

Ingredients

  • 1 - dozen eggs
  • - miracle whip
  • - mustard
  • - paprika (for garnish)
  • - yellow food coloring (optional)

How To Make deviled eggs

  • Step 1
    boil eggs for 10 minutes, then immediately drain water, and add cold water and ice to stop the eggs from cooking.
  • Step 2
    Once eggs are cooled, remove shells and cut in half.
  • Step 3
    scoop yolk into a bowl, mash with a fork, then add miracle whip and mustard to taste. I use Miracle Whip because it has more of a tangy taste. (here I add yellow food coloring to make it really bright.)
  • Step 4
    scoop yolk mixture into egg halves.
  • Step 5
    sprinkle paprika on top of eggs for garnish.
  • Step 6
    I usually chill them overnight, but if you're impatient...you can eat them now.
