I found this recipe on a blog last summer. This is a good "make ahead" as the flavors just get better.

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 - 15 oz cans garbanzo beans, drained
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup tanini paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1-2 - jalapenos, fresh
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro, tops only, avoid stems
How To Make cilantro jalapeno hummus

Step 1Place all ingredients in blender starting with liquids. You may need to stop blender and stir a bit as it is a fairly thick consistency. Chill.

Step 2Serve with pita chips or fresh veggies.

Step 3Hint: the heat temperature of this recipe depends upon the amount of the jalapeno seeds you use. it is always recommended to wear gloves when handling fresh jalapeno's and ALWAYS avoid contact with your eyes!
