I serve this at Fourth of July cookouts or any holiday get together.
*** I use the La Costena or Goya chipotle peppers in Adobo Sauce.

  • 1(15 oz.) can(s)
    chick peas(garbanzos)
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    chipotle chili peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Chipotle Hummus


  1. Drain the chick peas reserving 2 Tbsp. of the liquid.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and saute the garlic until it is tender.
  3. Place the chick peas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, salt, reserved liquid and chili peppers in a food processor (or blender).
  4. Process (or blend) until smooth.
  5. Place in a serving bowl and serve with pita chips or fresh veggies (like baby carrots, celery sticks, broccoli florets, black olives and cherry tomatoes.
