or 4 oz can pitted tart cherries
1/2 c
sugar
few drops red food color
2 c
prepared mincemeat
3 Tbsp
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1 egg, beaten

How to Make Cherry Mincemeat Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Drain cherries (you should have 2 cup).
  • 2Combine cherries and the sugar.
  • 3Let stand while you make pastry.
  • 4Combine cherry mixture, food color, mincemeat, flour, salt and egg.
  • 5Pour into a pastry lined pie pan.
  • 6Top with a lattice crust.
  • 7Bake in hot oven (425'F) to 40 minutes
