Ingredients
- - pastry for 2 crust pie
- 1 pound or 4 oz can pitted tart cherries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- - few drops red food color
- 2 cups prepared mincemeat
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1 egg, beaten
How To Make cherry mincemeat pie

Step 1Drain cherries (you should have 2 cup).

Step 2Combine cherries and the sugar.

Step 3Let stand while you make pastry.

Step 4Combine cherry mixture, food color, mincemeat, flour, salt and egg.

Step 5Pour into a pastry lined pie pan.

Step 6Top with a lattice crust.

Step 7Bake in hot oven (425'F) to 40 minutes
