Received this recipe from a good friend, Candi Chase. Not sure where she got it! After the holidays, I plan to experiment, assembling it like cinnamon rolls, using crescent rolls to make a ring shape, and whatever else I can think of. Yummy!

method Bake
yield 6-12 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 - batch knorr spinach dip
  • - pizza dough, bread dough or crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons Italian or Greek seasoning or seasoning of choice

How To Make candi's christmas tree bread

  • Step 1
    Divide dough in half.
  • Step 2
Roll one half about 1/4 inch thick and cut or shape into tree shape.
  • Step 3
Spread spinach dip on dough and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice).
  • Step 4
Roll out and place second half of dough on top, cut or shape to match the bottom "tree".
  • Step 5
Using a knife or shears, cut 1" sections about an inch apart all the way to bottom of tree on both sides almost to center of your tree. I also cut up the center of the tree, from bottom to nearly the top.
  • Step 6
Start at top of tree and twist cut dough sections, one or two times, all the way to the bottom of tree.
  • Step 7
Sprinkle evenly with Italian or Greek seasoning.
  • Step 8
Bake in 350 degree oven for about twenty minutes just til golden brown
