Years ago I acquired a recipe brochure put out by the state Agriculture office promoting the use of Louisiana products. This recipe is a little time consuming, but I am always looking for something that is a little different and not the same old recipes.
How to Make BLT appetizer
- 1Using a small, sharp, round cookie cutter (about the size of a quarter),cut out circles of bread and lettuce.
- 2Place bread round on cookie sheet and toast lightly on both sides. Set aside.
- 3Mix mayonnaise with bacon bits.
Spread mayonnaise mixture on toasted rounds and top each with a piece of lettuce and a cherry tomato slice.
