This is a great combo of American Southwest meets Asian.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium
    ripe avocadoes, pitted
  • 1
    serrano chile, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped green onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp
    sake,
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced fresh shiso leaves* (optional)

How to Make Asian Guacamole

Step-by-Step

  1. Scoop avocado into a bowl and mash with a fork (leave slightly chunky).
  2. Stir in all other ingredients except sesame seeds. Sprinkle with the seeds.
  3. Shiso is an aromatic herb; find shiso at Asian markets.
