This is a delicious little horderve! Its crunchy, salty and sweet! I had this many times at parties and it goes quickly! I double this recipe everytime I make it!

Ingredients
- 1 -8 ounce can whole water chestnuts
- 1/2 pound uncooked bacon-not thick cut
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- - toothpicks

How To Make water chestnuts wrapped in bacon

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2Drain the water chestnuts.

Step 3Slice each piece of bacon in half crosswise.

Step 4Wrap each water chestnut in the cut bacon pieces and secure with a toothpick. See photo.

Step 5Coat each piece with brown sugar.

Step 6Place each piece in a baking dish. Leave room between each piece.

Step 7Bake uncovered, on middle rack, for about 25 minutes or til sugar has melted and bacon is well browned. See photo.

Step 8Blot on paper towels and serve warm.
