Personally, I find it better than the store-bought one. It's cheaper too. it's on the hot side, so for those who don't like spicy food, adjust the amount of cayenne pepper

4 lbbeef round steak, trimmed

1 tspfreshly ground black pepper

1 tspground white pepper

1 tspcayenne pepper

1 tspfive-spice powder

1 1/2 tspsmoked paprika

1 Tbsponion powder

1 Tbspgarlic powder

1 csoy sauce

1/2 cworcestershire sauce

1 tspsalt

1/4 cbrown sugar
How To Make triple-pepper oven jerky

1Partially freeze and then cut meat against the grain into ¼-inch thick slices. Combine remaining ingredients in a large shallow dish; add meat slices. Cover and refrigerate overnight

2Place one oven rack on the lowest level and one on the highest. Line lower rack with large baking sheet or aluminum foil. Preheat oven to 300°F.

3Drain meat from marinade and pat dry. Suspend meat slices on top rack using toothpicks. Bake for about 4 hours or until dry (pliable, but not brittle).
