This recipe is great on it's own, or is also part of my Teriyaki Beef Yakisoba recipe.

prep time 20 Min
cook time 5 Min
method ---
yield 8 skewers

Ingredients

  • 2 - new york strip filets
  • 8 - kabob skewers
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder

How To Make teriyaki steak skewers

  • Step 1
Slice steak in long pieces, about 1/4 inch thick. Set aside.
  • Step 2
In sauce pan, heat water, cornstarch, brown sugar and soy sauce until sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly. Add garlic and ginger, stir well. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Step 3
Marinade the steak in the sauce for at least 30 minutes. Poke skewers through the steak pieces and place on a plate. Set extra sauce aside (if any).
  • Step 4
Grill the skewers over medium-low heat, brushing with extra sauce while cooking. Grill both sides for approximately 2-3 minutes each.
  • Step 5
    Serve.
