sweet and sour meatballs
(1 RATING)
Created this when I was "volunteered" to bring meatballs to a potluck. It's using convenience items but people always think I make the sauce by scratch and ask for the recipe. People always expect it to be more involved than it is. I hope you enjoy it.

- 1 jar sweet and sour sauce
- 1 jar hoisin sauce
How To Make sweet and sour meatballs
-
Step 1Cook meatball on stove top with water in pan. Drain. I always do this to drain excess fat. It makes the dish tastier and the presentation will be better.
-
Step 2Add can of pineapple tidbits with juice to drained meatballs with the sweet and sour sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook until sauce thickens.
-
Step 3Optional-You can add cooked, drained meatballs and the rest of the ingredients to a crock pot and cook in that. I use these meatballs as an appetizer item or if you serve with rice, fresh veggie side dish it makes a yummy meal too.
-
Step 4Can be a versatile dish using sliced kielbasa sausage, little smokies or add sliced bell peppers and onions
