    (12 oz) heinz chili sauce

How to Make Sweet and Sour Appetizer Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  1. If using pre-made frozen meatballs, go to Step 3 or 4
  2. Make meatballs: combine all meatball ingredients and shape into appetizer size balls (about 1 inch diameter). Add a bit of oil to a skillet and brown the meatballs in batches. They don't have to cook through. Set aside.
  3. Wipe out the skillet and add the jam and chili sauce. Heat through to blend. Add the meat balls, cover and simmer for 1 hour. Check frequently to make sure they don't burn.
  4. OPTIONAL: you can make these in a slow cooker. Just blend the jam and chili sauce in the slow cooker. Add the meatballs and stir to combine. Cook on low for 4 hours.
