How To Make sweet and sour appetizer meatballs

  • Step 1
If using pre-made frozen meatballs, go to Step 3 or 4
  • Step 2
Make meatballs: combine all meatball ingredients and shape into appetizer size balls (about 1 inch diameter). Add a bit of oil to a skillet and brown the meatballs in batches. They don't have to cook through. Set aside.
  • Step 3
Wipe out the skillet and add the jam and chili sauce. Heat through to blend. Add the meat balls, cover and simmer for 1 hour. Check frequently to make sure they don't burn.
  • Step 4
OPTIONAL: you can make these in a slow cooker. Just blend the jam and chili sauce in the slow cooker. Add the meatballs and stir to combine. Cook on low for 4 hours.
