sweet and sour meatballs
(1 RATING)
I'm always asked to bring this dish to friends homes for cocktail hours, parties, etc. They all love it and can't believe how easy it is! You can make it to serve 10 or 50, depends how much you need.

- 1/2 jar grape jelly
- 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 small onion minced
How To Make sweet and sour meatballs
-
Step 1Mix hamburger, eggs, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Shape into small meatballs and set aside.
-
Step 2In a large skillet, mix grape jelly and chili sauce, heat until jelly is melted. Add RAW meatballs. Simmer on low for approximately 45 minutes to an hour stirring gently about every 10-15 minutes.
-
Step 3The meatballs will be done at that point and you can either have them right away or take the meatballs out and refrigerate overnight, removing the fat from the sauce. Reheat meatballs and sauce and serve either on toothpicks or over noodles for a quick dinner!!
