Found this recipe in an old issue of the Boston Globe dated Feb.27, 1985, Gaspar's is a sausage success story.

How to Make Sweet and Sour Linguica

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut meat into 1/2 slices. Using a low-sided pan, jelly roll type, bake for 10 minutes. Turn meat and bake another 5 to 10 mins.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the grape jelly and chili sauce in a 3 Qt.saucepan. Put all the linguica in the sauce and warm 10 mins. Do Not Cover.
  3. Makes a great appetizer scewered with a tooth pick. May be refrigeratored several days.
