slow cooker bbq meatballs

I made these for a family bbq, I had so much to do and these could cook on their own, leaving Me the time I needed to do other things. Plus they are awesome! They go fast. My Grand kids love them. They ask for them every time we have a bbq.

Ingredients
- 1 package 60 count frozen italian meatballs
- 1 bottle original masterpiece bbq sauce
- 1 cup grape jelly or mint jelly
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
- 1 bottle beer (i use budlight)
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pinch red pepper
How To Make slow cooker bbq meatballs

Step 1Pour the whole bag of meatballs into slow cooker.

Step 2Set slow cooker to high heat. Cover.

Step 3On stove top in a large saucepan pour in BBQ sauce add jelly and cook on medium heat till jelly is completely melted into sauce, stirring often. Add the lemon juice. Pour the bottle beer into BBQ sauce container, swirl around to mix with remaining sauce in jar. Add to saucepan, continue cooking and stirring but lower the temp some. Add the salt and peppers. Cover and Cook for about 15 min on low heat. Taste to see if the seasonings are right for you, you may want more "heat".

Step 4Pour over meatballs and cover, Stir to cover all the meatballs. let it cook for about 6 hours, really depends on your slow cookers heat. You can leave them in slow cooker on low heat or you can skewer them on soaked wooden skewer sticks and toss on grill for a few min.
