How to Make Scotch Eggs
- Moisten hard boiled egg and then roll in flour. Divide sausage into six portions. Mold sausage meat around the egg. Cover with beaten egg/milk mixture and then roll in bread crumbs. Heat fat in deep fryer or deep pot. Fry in hot fat until golden brown, about 7-8 minutes. Make sure sausage is thoroughly cooked. Serve whole or cut in half.
- If you want a spicier Scotch egg use spicier sausage. These are great served for a brunch warm and covered with a cheese sauce or cold for a party.
