scotch eggs
(1 RATING)
My mum is a wonderful cook and we were raised in Europe eating wonderful foods. Because we traveled so much (courtesy of Uncle Sam) we learned to appreciate different cultures and great diversity in our menus. This is one of her recipes from her home country of England. Because it is extremely "fatty" we don't make it much, but it is oh so good and my husband and eldest son can't get enough of them.

Step 1Moisten hard boiled egg and then roll in flour. Divide sausage into six portions. Mold sausage meat around the egg. Cover with beaten egg/milk mixture and then roll in bread crumbs. Step 2If you want a spicier Scotch egg use spicier sausage. These are great served for a brunch warm and covered with a cheese sauce or cold for a party.
