Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms (approx. 20)
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • - chopped pimento (optional)
  • - fresh pinched parsley (optional)

How To Make sausage-stuffed mushrooms

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Rinse mushrooms and pat dry. Remove and chop stems.
  • Step 3
    Combine stems, sausage, garlic and chopped parsley in a medium skillet.
  • Step 4
    Cook until sausage is browned, stirring often. Drain and add cheese mixing well.
  • Step 5
    Fill mushroom caps with sausage mixture. Place in a12 X 8" baking dish.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 20 min.
  • Step 7
    Garnish with pimento and sniped parsley, if desired.
