Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    fresh mushrooms (approx. 20)
  • 1 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ·
    chopped pimento (optional)
  • ·
    fresh pinched parsley (optional)

How to Make SAUSAGE-STUFFED MUSHROOMS

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Rinse mushrooms and pat dry. Remove and chop stems.
  3. Combine stems, sausage, garlic and chopped parsley in a medium skillet.
  4. Cook until sausage is browned, stirring often.
    Drain and add cheese mixing well.
  5. Fill mushroom caps with sausage mixture.
    Place in a12 X 8" baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20 min.
  7. Garnish with pimento and sniped parsley, if desired.
