Makes 2 doz.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms (approx. 20)
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- - chopped pimento (optional)
- - fresh pinched parsley (optional)
How To Make sausage-stuffed mushrooms

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2Rinse mushrooms and pat dry. Remove and chop stems.

Step 3Combine stems, sausage, garlic and chopped parsley in a medium skillet.

Step 4Cook until sausage is browned, stirring often. Drain and add cheese mixing well.

Step 5Fill mushroom caps with sausage mixture. Place in a12 X 8" baking dish.

Step 6Bake for 20 min.

Step 7Garnish with pimento and sniped parsley, if desired.
