sausage stars
(2 RATINGS)
I found this recipe in a book or a magazine several years ago. Unfortunately I can not remember the where. My family loves these. I make them as a snack for football games on Sundays.

Ingredients
- 1 pound sausage (jimmy dean) cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups grated monteray jack cheese
- 1 cup prepared hidden valley ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup chopped red pepper
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- - vegetable oil
How To Make sausage stars
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Blot cooled sausage dry with a paper towel and combine with the cheeses, dressing and red peppers.
-
Step 2Lightly grease a mini muffin tin and press 1 wrapper into each cup. Brush lightly with oil. (I sometimes spray them with Pam instead) Bake 5 minutes until just turning golden.
-
Step 3Remove from pan and place on cookie sheet. Fill each with sausage mixture. *I actually leave mine in and complete the next step since I have 2 pans that hold 24 each.
-
Step 4Bake in the oven 5 minutes until bubbly. Serve immediately.
