  • 1 lb
    italian pork sausage
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 8 oz
    shredded, mozerella
  • 2
    egg whites, beaten
  • 1
    egg yolk, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Sausage Bread


  1. Oven at 350.
  2. Cook sausage and garlic.
  3. Drain off fat.
  4. Combine sausage/garlic, cheese and egg whites, egg yolk and seasonings.
  5. On greased sheet, roll dough into largest rectangle you can.
  6. Spread meat mixture on dough leaving 1 inch border.
  7. Roll dough-jelly roll fashion and pinch edges shut.
  8. Place seam side down on baking sheet.
  9. Brush top with beaten egg yolk and 1 tablespoon water mixture.
  10. Bake 45 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
