Ingredients

  • 1 pound italian pork sausage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces shredded, mozerella
  • 2 - egg whites, beaten
  • 1 - egg yolk, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make sausage bread

  • Step 1
    Oven at 350.
  • Step 2
    Cook sausage and garlic.
  • Step 3
    Drain off fat.
  • Step 4
    Combine sausage/garlic, cheese and egg whites, egg yolk and seasonings.
  • Step 5
    On greased sheet, roll dough into largest rectangle you can.
  • Step 6
    Spread meat mixture on dough leaving 1 inch border.
  • Step 7
    Roll dough-jelly roll fashion and pinch edges shut.
  • Step 8
    Place seam side down on baking sheet.
  • Step 9
    Brush top with beaten egg yolk and 1 tablespoon water mixture.
  • Step 10
    Bake 45 minutes until golden brown.
  • Step 11
    Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
