Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    sweet italian sausage
  • 1 small
    onion (chopped)
  • 4 clove
    garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese (softened)
  • 6 oz
    fresh baby spinach, chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    15 oz. cannellini beans(rinsed & drained)
  • 1 c
    chopped seeded tomatoes
  • 4 oz
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c
    shredded parmesan cheese
  • ·
    assorted crackers or bread slices

How to Make Sausage & Bean Dip Recipe

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large skillet cook sausage, onion and garlic over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink, breaking up sausage into crumbles; drain.
  2. Stir in chicken broth, oregano and thyme. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is almost evaporated.
  3. Add cream cheese; stir until melted. Stir in spinach, beans and tomatoes; cook and stir until spinach is wilted.
  4. Transfer to a greased 8 in square baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  5. Bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.
  6. Serve with crackers or bread rounds.
