Ingredients

  • 10 oz
    cheddar cheese
  • 3 c
    biscuit mix
  • 1
    onion, finely minced
  • 2 clove
    garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1/4 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 lb
    sausage
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    sage, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme, dried

How to Make Sausage Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. In skillet over low heat, break up sausage meat and simmer with chicken broth, sage, onion, and minced garlic until sausage is done, stirring often(15-20 min.) Do not brown. Season to taste with salt, pepper, thyme, onion powder and garlic powder. Let cool 10 minutes.
  2. Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased, foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 12 minutes or until golden or cooked through.
