Serves:
makes 70-80 balls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 lb
    hot sausage
  • 1 lb
    regular sausage
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1 medium
    green pepper, chopped
  • 2-3 can(s)
    diced tomatoes with green chilis
  • 8 can(s)
    small pillsbury buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 lb
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb
    shredded colby/jack cheese

How to Make Big Score Sausage Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown the ground beef and sausages along with the onion and green pepper in large pan.
  2. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes and then drain all the juices from the pan.
  3. Roll out the biscuits one can at a time into 4-5 inch circles and place some of the cheese in the middle and top with a heaping tablespoon of the meat mixture and then roll it into a ball, making sure to seal it up.
  4. Place the rolls on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray and bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees. Enjoy! These are good right out of the oven or can be frozen for after school snacks. Just pop them in the microwave for a minute.
