I NEEDED AN APPETIZER FOR CARD GAMES, POTLUCK SUPPER AND FOODIE CLUB AND SAW THIS, BUT DIDN'T WANT TO FRY THE MEATBALLS SO I CHANGED THE RECIPE TO BAKE INSTEAD.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- - kosher salt
- - black pepper
- 2 cups ketchup
- 2 cans dr. pepper
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- - kosher salt
- - black pepper
How To Make sandra's dr. pepper meatballs

Step 1In a large bowl, mix together beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder and paprika. Season with salt and pepper and mix until combined. Form into small 1 inch sized meatballs.

Step 2Preheat oven to 400 degrees. spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray. Place meatballs on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven 15-20 minutes or until meatballs are browned and cooked through.

Step 3In another large bowl, whisk together ketchup, Dr. Pepper, Worcestershire sauce and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4Place meatballs in a large fry pan over medium heat, add the sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Let simmer, basting the meatballs occasionally with a spoon, until sauce has reduced by half, about 8-10 minutes. LEFTOVERS CAN BE FROZEN.
