This is an old recipe from Hillshire Farms that I recently rediscovered. It would be great for tailgate parties, indoors or out.

Ingredients
- 6 - smoked sausage or polska kielbasa links
- 4 ounces muenster cheese, shredded
- 1 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
- 6 slices bacon, partially cooked
- 2 ounces muenster cheese, shredded
How To Make oktoberfest sizzlers

Step 1Split sausages lengthwise, 3/4 through. Fill each sausage piece with mixture of 2 TB shredded muenster cheese and 1 TB sauerkraut.

Step 2Wrap each sausage with bacon; secure with a toothpick.

Step 3Grill or broil (4 inches from heat) until thoroughly heated and bacon is fully cooked. Garnish with additional cheese.

Step 4NOTE: I prefer to use Stokely's Traditional Bavarian Style Sauerkraut because I love the caraway seeds!
