Growing up, this was my son's favorite appetizer. These meatballs are easy to put together and have just the right amount of kick to them. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    egg
  • 3 Tbsp
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    louisiana hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    louisiana hot sauce

How to Make Meatballs With a Kick

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine ground beef, egg, dry bread crumbs, garlic salt and 1/2 tsp. hot sauce. Mix thoroughly and shape into 3/4 inch balls. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan melt butter and then add cornstarch. Stir to blend. Add the water, ketchup,and remaining 2 tablespoons of hot sauce. Simmer until thickened. Add meatballs and heat through
