I made a Crock Pot full of these for a Christmas party, and they were the first things gone.

Ingredients

  • MEATBALLS
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • CHERRY SAUCE
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (21 oz)
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup A1 steak sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili crisp

How To Make magnificent cherry meatballs

  • Step 1
    To make the meatballs, add the onion and garlic to a food processor. Add 1 cup of water and puree until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a large bowl. Add the bread crumbs and eggs. Let them get soaked in the puree.
  • Step 3
    Add in the veal, pork, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 4
    Season with salt and pepper. Fry up a small piece to taste and make sure they are seasoned well. Roll into 24 meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Meanwhile, make the sauce. Add all the ingredients together in a small saucepan.
  • Step 6
    Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes. Place the meatballs in a Crock Pot and pour the sauce over top.
