Little Smokies in Sweet Peanut Barbeque Sauce
1 pkglittle smokies ( such as oscar mayer )
1/2 capricot jam
1/2 cbarbecue sauce
2 Tbsplemon juice
1/4 ccreamy peanut butter
1/4 cbeef broth ( optional , only if you want a thinner sauce )
·add 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. ht pepper sauce if you want them spicy ( optional )
How to Make Little Smokies in Sweet Peanut Barbeque Sauce
- Heat little Smokies as dirceted on the Package - Mix the jam and the barbecue sauce in a sauce pan and set over medium heat, cook untill jam is all melted, stirring occasionally, then stir in the lemon juice. - REMOVE from heat and blend in the Peanut Butter , ( Note : If you want a thinner sauce add the 1/4 cup of Beef Broth at this time ) also add the hot pepper sauce if you want them spicy, Return the pan to stove over medium heat . Bring just to a boil and remove from stove.
- Place little smokies in a crock pot and pour in mixture from sauce pan over smokies - Set Crock Pot to LOW Heat to keep warm, while serving . - Good Served with Green Bell Peppers and Fresh Pineapple Chunks If disired .
