Historic recipe found in the old farmhouse my husband was remodeling. An amazing find behind the walls of the ones torn out, was an endless treasure of old recipes all on the walls. The entire kitchen and dining area was covered in recipes. Yay for me! So Here I am sharing and caring hoping their traditions from the past will carry on into the future.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped fine
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 small lemons (juice of)
- 2 tablespoons beef broth
How To Make keftedes

Step 1Mix in a large mixing bowl, lamb, egg, onion, parsley, and seasonings.

Step 2Shape into 20 balls. Cook in butter until done. Ina sauce pan beat egg yolks, alternating stir in lemon juice and broth. Heat until slightly thickened. Pour over meatballs.
