Ingredients

1 mediumonion

2pepperoncini peppers

1/2head iceberg lettuce

1 largetomato, halved and seeded

1/4 lbdelii-sliced genoa salami
-
1/4 lbdeli-sliced roast turkey
-
1/4 lbdeli-sliced ham
-
1/4 lbdeli-sliced provolone cheese

1 Tbspvegetable oil
-
1/2 cmayonnaise
-
1 1/2 tspdried basil
-
1 tsporegano
-
1/4 tspred pepper flakes
-
110 to 12 inch round loaf of italian bread
-
8hoagie rolls, cut into pieces for dipping
How to Make Hoagie Dip
- Chop the onion, pepperoncini, lettuce and tomato into bite sized pieces. Dice the meats and cheese.
- Combine the chopped vegetables, meats and cheese in a large bowl. Add the mayonnaise, oil, oregano, basil and red pepper flakes. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Carve out the center of the Italian bread to make a bowl. Be careful not to cut through the crust. Cut the scraps into bite sized pieces. Spoon the Hoagy dip into the bread bowl. Serve extra bread and Hoagy roll pieces to scoop it up.
