Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 - recipe ham & chutney spread
- 1 pint milk
How To Make ham and chutney pastries

Step 1Combine flour, curry powder and salt in a bowl. Add shortening until pieces are the size of small peas. Sprinkle 1 T water over part of the mixture, toss with a fork. Push to side of bowl. Repeat until all moistened. Roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness onl ightly floured surface. Using a 3 inch round cutter cut into 32 rounds. Reroll scraps as necessary, brush edges with milk. Spoon a rounded teaspoon of spread into each round. Fold in halves to cover. Seal edges with the tines of a fork. Prick top with fork. Brush with milk. Bake a single layer at a time at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden.
