Ingredients

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry thawed (see box instructions)
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted or salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried drill
  • 10 ounces honey ham thinly sliced
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • - chopped fresh dill or thyme (garnish)

How To Make ham and cheese pinwheels

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Step 2
Thaw the puff pastry according to the instructions on the back of the packaging. Once thawed, carefully unfold it. Place it on a cutting board dusted with flour and use a rolling pin to shape it into a 10×12-inch rectangle.
  • Step 3
Meanwhile, combine the melted butter, honey, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and dried dill. Lightly brush the butter sauce over the portion of the puff pastry facing up.
  • Step 4
Place single slices of ham over the butter mixture and sprinkle with both kinds of cheese.
  • Step 5
Tightly roll the pastry up from the widest end. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and place it in the fridge. Repeat the procedure with the other puff pastry sheet. Chill the rolls for 30 minutes up to an hour.
  • Step 6
Using a sharp knife, cut the rolls into 1/2-3/4 inch thick rounds and place them on a parchment-covered baking sheet with some space between them. Brush the tops and sides with the melted butter and push the seam in.
  • Step 7
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
